West on East

West on East is as simple as a McDonald's hamburger and fries on a China plate. This sketch, done in colored pencils, is indicative of the China/USA relationship. It is a simple arrangement, but complexities are also self evident. There is the simple form of a French fry and hamburger bun, but there is also the complexities of the sesame seeds and the patterned China plate. In a sense, this is "food for thought," as the relationship between the two countries (not to mention the current global economic outlook), both face an uncertain future.
