Electronic Arts Inc. (EA) is an American video game company headquartered in Redwood City, California. Founded in May 1982 by former Apple employee Trip Hawkins, the company was a pioneer of the early home computer game industry and promoted the designers and programmers responsible for its games as "software artists". In this work, I opted to remake the famous "EA" logo into a design unto itself since letters are essentially just lines and shapes. When combined together, using different sizes and positioning for each logo, a new design is formed. Since the logo color is red and red only, I decided to only modify the values of the red as opposed to adding different colors into the newly created design. The new look is a testament to something familiar within a newly transformed design. This, at it's core, is how the gaming builds off of itself... taking what it knows, copying, transforming and combining to constantly evolve and progress forward.
