My passion for gaming and games in general is something that I wanted to convey in my artwork. When we are children, we often play, certainly more often than we do as adults. This work combines three games, toy soldiers, chess and the video game, Counter Strike, together in one setting. Using a chess board, toy soldiers are used to represent the terrorists and counter terrorist teams that form the basis for the popular video game, Counter Strike (more popularly known as "CS"). In all three games there are elements of war and strategy. The chess board serves as the battlefield and is painted in the team colors associated in CS. The toy soldiers, who are now painted in the colors of their respective CS teams, navigate the battlefield. Walls, staircases and debris are composed in the style and colors of the Counter Strike environment. While each of the three games are different, the war and its consequences remain the same.
