Peace Comes from Within

What happens when more and more young people create peace inside of themselves, despite of what's happening in the outside world? Could it create global change, such that a change in one would be a change in millions? If the inner creates the outer, does the outer mould the inner? If we are creating our world, is our world, by extension, creating us? If we look deeper in terms of how we struggle inside ourselves, we recognize how others struggle as well. When you think about healing and wellness, you have to wonder if we’re doing what we need to do in order to be the best version of ourself? This work shows a silhouetted individual in a meditative pose, positioned in a box and surrounded by images of negativity: Death. Destruction. Vanity. Gluttony. Greed. Violence. But regardless of what's happening outside inner peace is still maintained. The work was taken to numerous sites and photographed with various backgrounds that permeated through the physical opening of the individual depicted, a reminder that with all that is negative around us, we can still find our own peace if we're willing to go deep within.
